We had all of our new Reception children in full time from Monday, starting their first year of school and seven years with us at West Pennard.
On Tuesday Year 1 and Year 2 had their Forest School day, focusing on The Twits by Roald Dahl. They had a really enjoyable day. Many thanks to Mrs Hawkins and the adult helpers for making it such a fun-filled day.
On Wednesday Year 6 visited Whitstone School for a taster day, in readiness for moving on to Secondary School in July. On Thursday 17 of our Year 5 children visited Glastonbury Town hall for Peer Mentor training with Mrs Robinson. Also on Thursday, we were visited by Revd. Chris Hopkins, who toured the school and worked alongside children on their enrichment day. He even had a go at making a shark from modroc. Many thanks to Revd. Chris for visiting us.
Next Week we have our Open Morning on Tuesday. Please feel free to drop by, even without appointment. Go to the school hall from 9:30 and you will be shown around.
