15th - 19th March 2010

On Monday we were visited by John Wyatt from the Children's Hospice South West. He told us about the work of the Hospice, and, in particular, the work they did with his terminally ill grand daughter.  The children were very moved and theSchool Council have decided to help raise funds for the hospice as a result.

On Tuesday and Wednesday we had our Parents' Evenings in school, allowing the children to show off the progress that they have made so far this year. The parents were lead to the classrooms by children from Year 6. A great many thanks to those children and to the adults that helped with the teas and coffees.

The children all came in to school on Friday dressed in their sports gear for Sports Relief. The classes took it in turns to run a mile (18.5 times around the playground). All the money raised will go to Sports Relief.

Year 4 Squash and Biscuits is on Wednesday 31st March. In addition to the usual games and activities for the children, Class 4 have put together two hampers of 'goodies' to be raffled off, one to parents and one to the children on the day. Tickets cost 50p each, or you can get 3 for £1. If you would like to purchase tickets, send money in a sealed envelope with your child and write on the front FAO Class 4 - raffle.
