On Monday, the new Reception Class had a Play to Learn day in the hall. The day was very well attended with almost all of the 25 pupils in Reception Class this year sharing their early experiences of school with their mums and dads. Last week our home learning evening had almost 70 parents attending. Many many thanks to all those that have come to see us this term. The parents evening slips went out this week. Please return your slip as soon as you can.

On Tuesday Year 1 visited Farleigh Hungerford Castle as part of their work on knights and castles this term. The weather held off and they had a smashing day!

Year 5 had a very exciting visitor this week! They were visited by twice winner of an olympic gold medal, Steve Williams! He was visiting them as part of their work on mountains. Now, at this point you may be thinking, since when was mountain climbing an olympic sport, but he has recently scaled Everest. They had a very star-struck day!!!!

On Friday afternoon we had our annual Harvest Festival in the church. Mr Gouge and Year 6 have worked tirelessly preparing the speeches and the acting to accompany them. Thank you to Mr Gouge, Rev Osborne and all the parents that came along to watch
