Welcome back everybody to what looks set to be an action packed term at West Pennard School. We hope everyone had a joyful festive season and are ready for the coming term. The class letters will be sent home with your children shortly, detailing the interesting and exciting areas of learning that they will be exploring this term. We will also, as always, publish them on the website. 

Over the Christmas holidays we received our feedback from our recent Ofsted subject inspection. They were looking at 60 schools nationally in order to review anti-bullying practice on a national scale, in both Primary and Secondary education. We were very pleased with the feedback we received. At the start of the holidays, Karen, our school cook, was taken ill and has had surgery as a result. Although she is on the mend, karen does need rest and will return to work once she hasfully recovered from the procedure.  In the meantime our school meals service will run as normal, with Mandy taking the reins and Sarah Longman assisting her.
