On Tuesday, four children from Year 6 attended a Maths extension afternoon at the Blue School in Wells. We have sent a number of children from each of the KS2 classes for such activities throughout the year and the children have got an awful lot out of it. Many thanks to the Blue School for including us in their Maths Cluster Group.

Swimming will start again for Year 1 and Year 4 children next Thursday (6th May). The pool has been closed this week for repairs. 

Christian Aid Week is fast approaching. We are going to have a cake, biscuits and buns sale after school on Monday 10th May. We would like to invite the children to make a cake to be sold on the day . All proceeds will go to Christian Aid.

Audrey Truan and Chaska Gaines, who run our successful after school club, are keen to run a holiday scheme for the half term break.  In order for the holiday club to take place there must be sufficient interest to make the venture viable.  Could parents please indicate on the form attached to the newsletter that went out this week whether they would be interested in child care during half term?  The club would run from 8.30am – 4.30pm at the school and costs should be in the region of £16.00 for a full or part day.  Please return the slip by Thursday 29^th April as we will be making a decision by Friday 30^th April.
