June 7th - 11th 2010

We started back at school following our half term break. The children all came back refreshed having enjoyed the nice weather and seem ready for a busy run up to the summer holidays. Next week looks especially busy with visits from a cricket coach and the Artyfact Theatre Company, a swimming gala, a fun run, a visit to the Bath and West Showground for Year 5 and 6, and also a visit by Pilton Playgroup to Reception Class! Year 3 are having a concert at 2:15pm on Tuesday having all been taught the violin this year by Mr Jenkins. All parents are warmly welcome! Next Saturday (19th June) also sees the annual country dancing festival which takes place on Wells Cathedral Green. Please come along and support our dancers from 2pm.

We had our Year R new parents' induction evening in the school hall on Tuesday evening. The parents were shown a presentation by Mrs Burchell to help them with the induction of their children into school. Many thanks to all the parents that came.

The merit badges were awarded to Alex, Bilal, Emily, eden, Ben, Leo and Will. The playground class of the week was Year 6
