2011 Standard Assessment Tests (SATs) Results

At West Pennard we achieve outstanding results. This year was no exception! Our results are in bold. The results for children nationally (2010 data) are in standard print and provide a useful comparison.

*this level is based on teacher assessment as there is no longer a SAT in this subject

The ‘average’ year 6 child is expected to achieve level 4 at the end of year 6. A child who attains level 5 is achieving at a level in advance of this ie at the level of an ‘average’ 13 year old.

In English all our children achieved the expected level with over half the class achieving the higher level. Our reading results were particularly outstanding with nearly three quarters of the class achieving level 5.

In mathematics 97% of the class achieved level 4 and above, with nearly three quarters of the class achieving the higher level 5.

In science our results similarly outstanding with all children achieving the expected level and over 80% achieving the higher level 5.
